Pajari Finishes Fourth in Greece, Korhonen Takes the Lead in the WRC2 Championship

The FIA World Rally Championship continued last weekend with the EKO Acropolis Rally Greece 2026, where crews faced the event’s notoriously demanding gravel stages.

For the Finns, the best Rally1 result came from Sami Pajari, who finished fourth overall. Sébastien Ogier claimed victory ahead of Takamoto Katsuta and Thierry Neuville.

There was particularly good news for Finland in the WRC2 category. Roope Korhonen and co-driver Anssi Viinikka finished fourth in WRC2 in Greece. The result moved Korhonen to the top of the WRC2 Drivers’ Championship standings after eight rounds. He now leads the championship with 64 points, followed by Alejandro Cachón on 61 points and Léo Rossel on 60.

The FIA World Rally Championship continues in Estonia on 16–19 July, before the focus shifts to Secto Rally Finland, which will take place in Jyväskylä on 30 July – 2 August.
