Thursday of Secto Rally Finland’s 75th anniversary year offers a unique opportunity to meet both today’s FIA World Rally Championship stars and the greatest legends in the history of the event at the Service Park in the Jyväskylä Paviljonki area before the evening’s special stages get underway.
The day’s programme begins with the Media Pen from 11:00 to 12:30, where international media representatives will meet the drivers ahead of the start of the rally.
From 13:15 to 13:45, the public Meet the Crews session will take place on the Secto Stage, featuring the Team Principals of all Rally1 teams together with Jari-Matti Latvala, Esapekka Lappi, Mārtiņš Sesks, Sami Pajari, Elfyn Evans, Taylor Gill, Calle Carlberg, Léo Rossel, Janni Hussi and Marko Salminen.
The highlight of the day comes at 14:15 with the Legends Meet & Greet on the Secto Stage. As part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of Rally Finland, the event will bring together 18 former winners and rally legends. Among those attending are Kalle Rovanperä, Tommi Mäkinen, Marcus Grönholm, Ari Vatanen, Markku Alén, Rauno Aaltonen, Mikko Hirvonen, Ott Tänak and Jonne Halttunen.
Thursday’s Service Park programme offers a rare opportunity to see today’s WRC stars alongside the champions who have shaped the history of Rally Finland over several decades.
The evening continues with the Harju Special Stage, preceded at 18:15 by a demonstration run from Kalle Rovanperä and Jonne Halttunen in Halttunen’s Toyota Corolla GT AE86, before the opening special stage of Secto Rally Finland gets underway at 19:05.
