Thanks to its unique character, Päijälä has long been one of the competitors’ favourite stages. Year after year, it has maintained its reputation as a driver favourite, supported by a highly active local village community. The event arrangements have been developed steadily over the years, with increasing investment in spectator services.
This year, the stage offers a fresh challenge with a shortened route and a reversed driving direction. Päijälä is an unforgettable experience for both drivers and spectators. The scenery is stunning, and the nature of the road leaves a lasting impression. One of its most iconic locations is the bridge crossing in the village of Päijälä, which has produced spectacular images seen around the world.
The Liehu private road, driven in the latter part of the stage, is considered by many—including myself—to be one of the finest road sections of the entire rally. The stage also passes through three municipalities: Orivesi, Kuhmoinen, and Kangasala.
Vetomiehet will also drive the Päijälä stage.
