Secto Rally Finland’s 75th anniversary celebrations will also be reflected in Jyväskylä’s cultural scene this summer and autumn, as Aalto2 Museum Centre opens a new exhibition celebrating the history of Finnish rally culture.
The exhibition “Rallia Jyskälässä – Gravel, Heroes and Circus: 75 Years” opens to the public on 13 June and will remain open until 8 November 2026. It offers a unique journey through the colourful history of Rally Finland, showcasing legendary drivers, unforgettable moments and the event’s significance to Finnish sport and its international reputation.
First held in 1951, the rally has grown over the decades from a local motorsport competition into one of the most respected events in the world of rallying. At the same time, it has become an important part of Finnish identity, the summer season in Central Finland and international motorsport history.
The exhibition explores the story of the rally from the perspectives of competitors, organisers, volunteers and spectators alike. Visitors can discover objects, photographs, stories and phenomena from the event’s history that have helped make the gravel roads of Jyväskylä famous around the world.
The Aalto2 exhibition is one of the key elements of Secto Rally Finland’s 75th anniversary year and offers an opportunity to immerse oneself in the heart of Finnish rally culture beyond the rally week itself.
The exhibition is open at Aalto2 Museum Centre in Jyväskylä from 13 June to 8 November 2026.
