Päijälä Special Stage, which often starts the Saturday, will be run now as the third Special Stage of the day. For years, the active Päijälä community has been involved in organising the Special Stage, and the public services have become more and more attractive every year.
The scenery and the nature of the road are memorable, and the world has seen more and more beautiful pictures about the crossing of Päijälä bridge, for example. In the early part of the stage, the private road section in Liehu is one of my personal favorites of the whole rally. It’s probably where the longest jumps of the rally are taken. Special Stage also includes one of the most challenging corners of the rally, which has proven its difficulty in several years. As many as four municipalities; Kangasala, Kuhmoinen, Orivesi and Jämsä fit into the Special Stage area. National “Vetomies” class will also drive in Päijälä on Saturday
