FIA’s long-standing commitment to promoting gender equality in motorsport will be visible in Jyväskylä this summer, as the international Girls on Track programme comes to Secto Rally Finland on Friday, 1 August 2025.
Launched in 2018, Girls on Track offers girls and young women the opportunity to explore the world of motorsport — both as a hobby and as a potential career. The programme is held annually in different countries and aims to lower the barrier of entry for young females into the sport by showcasing its many pathways and opportunities.
This year, a selected group of 12–18-year-old girls interested in motorsport will gather in Jyväskylä for an inspiring day of activities. The Finnish event is supported by three programme ambassadors — all women working actively in the field: Janni Hussi (co-driver and media personality), Johanna Suutari (Production Manager, Nep Finland Oy), and Saana Viinikka (Event Secretary, Secto Rally Finland 2025). Through their own experiences, they’ll encourage the participants and share insights into the world of motorsport. The day will include a hands-on introduction to different aspects of the sport and networking opportunities with other participants and industry professionals. The experience will culminate in an evening visit to the legendary Harju Special Stage, where the true magic of rally comes alive.
