Jyväskylä, Finland – Spark the Future, the leading forum exploring innovation and sustainability in mobility and beyond, is proud to welcome Richard Hammond for a special dialogue on innovation, craftsmanship, and environmental responsibility in the world of mobility.
The event will take place at the heart of Secto Rally Finland—a legendary round of the FIA World Rally Championship—held in collaboration with the FIA and WRC Promoter’s Beyond Rally programme.
Now in its third year, Spark the Future has become the premier platform for sustainability innovation within motorsport. This year marks a major milestone, with the forum expanding its reach through official cooperation with the global rallying community’s top governing bodies.
“Secto Rally Finland are one of our standout partners in terms of their sustainable-first approach to their events, and we are therefore looking forward to aligning with them on their successful Spark the Future symposium to showcase our own sustainability efforts as well under the ever-growing Beyond Rally platform,” says Arne Dirks, CMO, WRC Promoter GmbH, the promoter for the FIA World Rally Championship.

Globally recognised for Top Gear and The Grand Tour, Richard Hammond has also emerged as a respected voice in science, engineering, and sustainability storytelling. In this exclusive session, he will share insights from his production company Chimp, and his acclaimed series Richard Hammond’s Workshop—a behind-the-scenes look at building a sustainable restoration business. The conversation will highlight themes of entrepreneurship, innovation, and resilience in an evolving world.
The conversation will be hosted and moderated by André Noël Chaker—one of Finland’s most prominent business speakers and event hosts—who brings a wealth of experience in leading high-profile forums on innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. His dynamic presence will frame the conversation and guide the audience through the forum’s key themes.
“Richard Hammond brings a unique voice to the global sustainability conversation—someone who can connect with audiences far beyond the usual echo chambers,” says Tiina Lehmonen, Promoter of Secto Rally Finland. “We’re thrilled to welcome him for what promises to be a thought-provoking and inspiring discussion.”
In addition to Hammond’s appearance, Spark the Future will host an inspiring line-up of leading voices in sustainability, for example:
- Pekka Lundmark – Former President and CEO of Nokia, a prominent advocate for green digital infrastructure and sustainable industry transformation
- Petteri Kilpinen – Sustainability strategist and business leader
More speakers will be announced in the lead-up to the event. Together, these voices will explore how cross-sector collaboration, visionary thinking, and strategic communication can drive meaningful, measurable change.
Set against the high-energy backdrop of Secto Rally Finland, the forum turns motorsport into a platform for progress—where speed, technology, and environmental stewardship come together to shape a more sustainable future.
