Big year, big deal: Secto Automotive is Rally Finland’s new title sponsor

*AKK Sports and Secto Automotive join forces ahead of the sport’s ground-breaking era

*Sustainable fuels and hybrid technology bring exciting opportunities on roads and stages

* Rally Finland becomes Secto Automotive Rally Finland

Rally Finland and Secto Automotive are looking to an exciting future as they celebrate a glorious past by joining forces for the event’s 70th anniversary.

Secto Automotive, a reinventor of the traditional car leasing industry, is the new title sponsor of Finland’s round of the FIA World Rally Championship, scheduled from October 1-3.

“Our team is more than happy about this co-operation. For us, it´s a great platform to tell our story and gain recognition. The motorsport community faces the same challenges that we´ve been tackling within the car industry during the last decade. Thus, we feel confident that we can add value and help with the transition. On top of that, it´s also a matter of the heart” said Secto Automotive CEO Matias Henkola who´s competing in the WRC3 category himself.

The greatest rally in the world and Finland’s greatest vehicle leasing company will be driver and co-driver, working side by side and going flat out during an amazing occasion to deliver something truly special for people all over Finland.

“Long roads and the freedom made possible by private motoring make Finns tick and it’s no surprise that Jyväskylä’s rally has been a big part of the lives of so many for 70 unbelievable years – and a major part of the World Rally Championship from when it began in 1973” continues Matias

Established in 2007, Secto Automotive has more than 4000 corporate clients and a fleet of over 10000 vehicles, of which approx. 1/5th are electrified, making it Finland’s leading privately owned leasing company and market leader in sustainable vehicles. Secto Automotive has already helped thousands of companies and consumers transition towards more sustainable ways of motoring.

“The sport is changing with hybrid cars and sustainable fuels being the new normal in the WRC from 2022, and we really want to be a part of this era. We want to show that these technologies and the shift from owning a car to simply using it are not threats, but great new opportunities and we’re thrilled to be on board with AKK Sports for an amazing ride.” summarizes Matias.

Riku Bitter, CEO, AKK Sports, said: “We’re delighted that Secto Automotive is the new title sponsor of Rally Finland. We’ve always taken great pride in our forward-thinking approach with sustainability at the heart of what we do. Secto Automotive is no different with a shared vision for what we hope will be a long future together, starting with October’s 70th anniversary event.”

Secto Automotive Rally Finland is based in Jyväskylä from October 1-3 and counts as round 10 of the 2021 FIA World Rally Championship. All cars taking part on the high-speed gravel event will carry Secto Automotive branding, with the company benefiting from a number of other promotional opportunities such as stage-side and podium signage and admission tickets for client incentives.
