Cefmof Hydrogen Pitstop: Experience Green Hydrogen During Secto Rally Finland

From 31 July to 2 August 2025, three central locations in Jyväskylä will transform into hydrogen-powered experience zones as the Hydrogen Pitstop, organized by Cefmof, brings future technology within everyone’s reach. Visitors can explore the possibilities of hydrogen through free activities in Ruusupuisto, Kirkkopuisto, and Satamapuisto. Free hydrogen shuttle buses will operate from Palokka, Vaajakoski, and Keljo to the event sites. Schedules and routes will be available closer to the event via the Linkki route planner.

In Ruusupuisto, visitors can experience the excitement of hydrogen mobility in miniature. Hydrogen-powered RC cars race through a model city and off-road track, while the interactive World of Hydrogen exhibition at the Aalto2 museum offers insights into hydrogen production, storage, and use – including how to fuel a hydrogen bus. RC racers and exhibition-goers can enjoy burgers grilled on a hydrogen-powered barbecue.

Satamapuisto offers a mix of mobility and relaxation. One of Jyväskylä’s five hydrogen buses – among the first in Finland – will be on display. After exploring the bus, visitors can test their hydrogen knowledge in a quiz, with hydrogen-brewed coffee or ice cream from a hydrogen cargo bike as a reward. The park also features a unique highlight: the world’s first known hydrogen-powered sauna, created by Harvia and Toyota. The sauna experience is free but requires pre-registration at cefmof.org/hydrogen-sauna-projekti.

In Kirkkopuisto, visitors can combine learning with indulgence. A hydrogen-themed quiz challenges participants to test their knowledge – and rewards them with a slice of pizza cooked in a hydrogen-fueled oven. The experience highlights hydrogen’s potential as a clean energy source even in cooking.

To top it off, each Hydrogen Pitstop location offers a unique collectible sticker. Pick up a sticker at each site, fill your sticker pass, and explore the diverse potential of hydrogen!
