Citroen leaves WRC – Lappi to M-Sport?

Citroen announced its decision on Twitter on Wednesday.

The statement on Twitter said the decision was made because of the situation of the drivers that are available.

- Following the decision of Sebastien Ogier to leave Citroën Racing after 2019 World Rally Championship season, Citroen decided to withdraw from its WRC programme in 2020 due to the absence of a first-class driver availabe for 2020 season.

The statement means Ogier is perhaps going to Tommi Mäkinen's Toyota. Also Esapekka Lappi is left with an empty seat but the rumours by a Belgian newspaper say the Finn heads to M-Sport with Teemu Suninen.
